At Fireside Surplus, we are committed to providing quality surplus industrial equipment, automation parts, and electrical components at competitive prices. We understand that sometimes a return may be necessary, which is why we offer a clear and straightforward return policy designed to protect both our customers and our business.


30-Day Return Period


Fireside Surplus offers a 30-day return period on most items. Returns must be requested within 30 days of the delivery date. Items returned outside of this period may not be eligible for a refund.

To ensure fast processing, we recommend contacting our team as soon as possible if you believe an item needs to be returned.


Items Not Received as Described (Full Refund)


We are happy to provide a full refund for any order that was not received as described. This includes situations such as:

  • Incorrect item shipped
  • Item significantly different from the listing description
  • Item damaged in shipping (when documented)
  • Missing components that were stated as included

If you believe your item was not received as described, please contact our team promptly so we can resolve the issue quickly.


Standard Returns (10% Restocking Fee)


All other returns that are not related to product description issues will be accepted within the 30-day return window but will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Standard return reasons may include:

  • Ordered the wrong item
  • Item no longer needed
  • Customer preference or project changes
  • Incorrect sizing or compatibility issues

The restocking fee helps cover inspection, testing, handling, and repackaging costs associated with surplus inventory.


Return Condition Requirements


To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Returned in their original condition
  • Properly packaged to prevent damage during shipping
  • Complete with all included components (if applicable)

Items that arrive damaged due to improper packaging may not qualify for a refund.


Return Shipping


Unless the return is due to an error on our part or an item not received as described, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for high-value items.


How to Request a Return


To start a return request, please contact Fireside Surplus with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Item description
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (recommended, especially for damage or incorrect items)

Once approved, our team will provide return instructions to ensure the process is smooth and efficient.


Refund Processing Time


Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
